Medical students, and most physicians in training today, grew up in the computer and
video-game age. They represent the Gamer Generation (1); they learn while gaming.

This probably explains their lackadaisical attitude which they often display towards
traditional lectures, lecturers, and assignments. Their attitude in turn elicits animosity in
those teachers who feel threatened by the gaming culture (2).
